Ingredients

  • 1 block tempeh
  • to taste tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 leaf lettuce
  • 1 slice tomato
  • as needed tablespoon oil

Method

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat and add the tempeh strips, frying until they are golden brown, approximately 2 to 4 minutes per side.
  2. Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On one slice of bread, place a fresh leaf of lettuce, followed by a slice of tomato, and top it with the crispy tempeh strips on the mayonnaise side.
  4. Layer another slice of tomato and a second lettuce leaf on top of the tempeh, then cap it with the other slice of bread, mayonnaise-side facing down.
