In a mixing bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce and minced garlic. Pour this mixture into a resealable plastic bag.
Add the steak strips to the bag, making sure they are evenly coated with the marinade. Press out any excess air and seal the bag. Allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 8 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
When ready to cook, adjust the oven rack to about 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler, or preheat your outdoor grill, lightly greasing the grate.
Take the steak strips out of the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the marinade.
Arrange the steak on a broiler pan or directly on the grill. Cook each side for approximately 5 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
