A hearty and flavorful baked beans dish with ground beef and spices, perfect for gatherings or a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cans baked beans
1 can diced green chiles
1 medium onion
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 dash hot pepper sauce
Method
Begin by browning the ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and no longer pink, then drain the excess fat.
In a slow cooker with a capacity of at least 3 1/2 quarts, combine the browned ground beef with baked beans, diced green chiles, chopped onions, and your preferred barbecue sauce.
Stir in brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, and a splash of hot pepper sauce to add some spice.
Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on the HIGH setting for approximately 2 hours, or on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, until the mixture is thoroughly heated and the flavors are well combined.
