This smoky teriyaki beef jerky is a deliciously savory snack, marinated with a blend of teriyaki and pineapple for a unique flavor. Perfect for on-the-go munching or as a protein-packed treat.
Ingredients
1 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup pineapple
2 cloves garlic
2 pounds beef
Method
In a spacious bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Using a food processor or blender, puree the pineapple and garlic until you have a silky mixture. Pour this puree into a resealable plastic bag along with the teriyaki marinade.
Add the thinly sliced beef into the bag, ensuring every piece is generously coated with the marinade. Squeeze out any excess air from the bag, seal it securely, and allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours.
When it's time to smoke, preheat your smoker to a setting between 225 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (110 to 120 degrees Celsius). After marinating, remove the beef from the bag and discard the marinade.
Arrange the beef strips in the smoker and let them smoke for 6 to 8 hours, or until the jerky achieves a chewy texture without becoming too crisp. Once finished, keep the jerky refrigerated for later snacking.
