This Teriyaki-Style Grilled Flank Steak is marinated in a savory blend of red wine, soy sauce, and spices, then grilled to perfection for a juicy and flavorful main dish.
Ingredients
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced ginger
2 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds flank steak
Method
In a large resealable bag, mix together red wine, soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Add the flank steak, seal the bag securely, and allow it to marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight for optimal flavor.
Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat setting.
Remove the steak from the marinade, discarding the marinade. Grill the steak for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness, ensuring the internal temperature hits at least 145°F (63°C) for a rare finish.
Once cooked, let the steak rest for about 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain for serving.
