  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 pound chicken
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 piece green chili pepper
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander
  • 1 bunch fresh basil

Method

  1. Begin by bringing the chicken stock to a vigorous boil in a spacious pot.
  2. Stir in the tom yum paste along with minced garlic, cooking for about 2 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  3. Add the lemongrass and lime leaves, allowing their aromas to infuse the broth.
  4. Carefully add the chicken pieces and let them simmer for approximately 5 minutes, or until they are cooked through and the juices run clear.
  5. Mix in the sliced mushrooms, followed by the fish sauce, fresh lime juice, and diced green chili for an extra kick.
  6. Continue to simmer the soup until all components are thoroughly blended.
